•    Instructor for RCMP on the MCTI model

•    Participant in working group to develop the Combatives program for ERT Assaulters during the Assaulter Course Collaboratively developed the program, wrote the Course Training Standards and delivered the material on the ERT course and to operational teams. This program is still in use by ERT operators to this day and the instructor has instructed in this area since 2015
•    Lead Instructor for Canadian Use of Force Systems in 2011, and was asked to assist in the delivery of this system to members of Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM), specifically JTF2. He has since taught this program to other units within CANSOF as well as other units within the RCMP

•    Full Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of British Columbia with cross appointments to the Department of Pathology and the Program in Experimental Medicine and the Program in Neuroscience
•    BSc in Biological Sciences (University of California Irvine); MSc in Medical Physiology (Hebrew University); PhD Neurobiology (Hebrew University)
•    Trained as infantry medic in the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF)
•    Trained in Canada in trauma medicine with various courses including Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
•    Served with volunteer medics during the recapture of Mosul, Iraq in 2017
•    Trained in Emergency Medical Response (EMR) and as EMR Instructor and have used this to teach basic first aid and trauma care in “austere” environments
